I’ve read that the opposite of certainty isn’t uncertainty. Rather, the opposite is openness and curiosity. I don’t think any writing is possible without curiosity. A writer must be a keen observer.

Creativity requires courage to let go of fear. Fear of ridicule, embarassment, failure, critique … Self-doubt is a killer too. It’s a good quote. Thanks for sharing! 😉

I’m in total agreement with the quote. I recently made the decision to quit my regular job, and focus all my energy on my passion, which is creating artistic orchid arrangements and displays. It’s different from writing, but non the less, creative. I’ve had to let go of a ” certain ” income, and all of the securities that come with it, but I’m past the fear of what I could loose, focusing on what I’m ” certain ” to gain. Thanks for the post! It is inspiring.
